The East Washington Heights Baptist Church Food Pantry East Washington Heights Baptist Church is a member of the Capital Area Food Bank. We believe it is our Christian duty to serve the needs of God’s people. We further recognize that there are many in our city who find themselves in need. We humbly seek to do our part by helping to alleviate some of the suffering caused by hunger. On the third Thursday of each month, the doors of our Food Pantry are open to those in need. Service is provided to those who come in need for food. Those with referrals from the District of Columbia Social Service or private organizations are welcome. Please come by to see us between the hours of 1:00 p.m and ____. Part of our Church Constitution states: "…that we strive together and contribute of our means, our time, and our energy for the support of a faithful evangelical ministry for the realization of the unity of Christ’s Church..." These are not idle words, but they are part of a promise to care for our fellow man. |
