East Washington Heights Baptist Church Sewing Club Several retired ladies of East Washington Heights have come together as our Sewing Club. These very talented ladies work diligently to create beautifully handcrafted works. While sewing is very relaxing and a wonderful source of fellowship, these ladies have discovered that sewing can be a wonderful ministry. The Sewing Club has generously and lovingly presented their creations to institutions and individuals throughout the Washington Metropolitan area. The Sewing Club created lap quilts for the sick and shut-in of East Washington Heights. The Nursing Home of Washington received lap quilts for their residents. The Sewing Club also made receiving blankets for the National Center for Children and Families. This group gets together on Tuesdays between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. Please stop by and visit them. There is always room for more in the house of the Lord.
